If you are planning a special event, may be wedding reception, special anniversary or something simpler like a barbeque for a group of friends, then the Sibton White Horse might just be the venue for you. The pretty sheltered courtyard with its old cart shed and integral marquee comes alive between April and September to provide a colourful theatrical arena, add to that the internal charm and romance of the 16c White Horse and you have the makings of a wonderful intimate setting.
Being a public house, The White Horse is more suited towards mid week events, although depending on the type, some weekend events might be suitable. From a food perspective there is a flexible approach to all enquiries, from a small private dinner party in the dining room through to a barbeque for 100 outside. Whatever the style of food, you’re guaranteed the same high quality from the award winning kitchen.
Newlyweds Jane and Paul Jennings held their wedding reception for 75 persons at the White Horse on a Monday and were thoroughly delighted. Firstly Jane, her family and close friends took advantage of the six bedrooms and enjoyed a pre-wedding breakfast together. Later in the day the garden came alive and the chefs served up a hot sit down buffet from the marquee. A firkin of Adnam’s Southwold Bitter was set up in the cart shed for guests to help themselves, whilst selected music played gently in the background. Whilst the celebrations mainly took place in the courtyard, Jane and Paul decided to take sole use of the pub until 6pm, I guess it gave them peace of mind with unpredictable British climate.
