Kitchen Garden Suffolk

We love local, for sure we buy local and who wouldn’t when apart of such a wonderful Suffolk larder, we are blessed by an abundance of great suppliers.

As rich as the Suffolk larder is, nothing beats the satisfaction having your own kitchen garden, nothing can beat the freshness and flavour of growing your produce. Ask any passionate chef what it means to step out the kitchen door, pick, take back and cook, it means the world.

Throughout the change of seasons our kitchen garden provides a wide differing range of produce, there are your regular standards and others a little more unusual, all organically grown. We also harvest apples, plums, cherries and walnuts from our established orchard.

We can’t possibly grow all we need, but for sure we grow a fare bit and whatever it might be for sure we use. What’s good as well, we have a local produce scheme, locals bring in their surplus home-grown, some have allotments and we barter with them in exchange for beer and wine.
